Quake Alert Live

Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 September 2026 · Published by Consteallazione LLC

The short version. Quake Alert Live has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. Your location is used on your device to measure how far an earthquake is from you, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored.

Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing. Consteallazione LLC operates no servers for this app and holds no database of users. There is no sign-up, no profile and no identifier that follows you.

What stays on your device

All of it lives in the app's private storage. Delete the app and it is gone.

Who your phone talks to

What we do not do

No advertising networks. No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. No tracking across apps or websites. Nothing is sold or shared, because nothing is collected.

Permissions, and why

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to export, correct or erase. You control everything from your device: revoke permissions in system settings, or uninstall the app to delete all stored data. If you live in the EU, the UK, California or anywhere with similar rules and want to exercise a right anyway, write to us and we will answer within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it, and the previous version is replaced on this page. Material changes will also be noted inside the app.

Terms of Service

1. What the app is

Quake Alert Live shows earthquake information published by the USGS and can notify you about events near your location. It is an informational tool.

It does not predict earthquakes, and it is not an emergency service. Never rely on this app to protect life or property. Follow your local authorities and official emergency channels.

2. Accuracy and availability

The data comes from the USGS and is revised by them as events are analysed: magnitudes, depths and locations change. Alerts depend on your internet connection, on your device's battery and background settings, and on how your operating system schedules background work. iOS in particular decides when background checks run, so a notification may arrive late or not at all. The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.

3. Subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds follow the policy of whichever store you bought from.

4. Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer the app, resell it, or redistribute its data as if it were your own service. USGS data is public domain; the app, its name and its design are not.

5. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Consteallazione LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app, including missed, delayed or inaccurate alerts. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Consteallazione LLC is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
